Brentwood Forest opens first ‘Pooch Park’ in Bellbird Park
AVID Property Group’s Brentwood Forest will open the area’s first off-leash dog area – or ‘Pooch Park’ – on Saturday 24 March, following on from last month’s official opening of the popular Tucker Family Park.
The 1.02ha Tucker Family Park, with the elevated Pooch Park mapping a huge 1600m² overlooking Greater Springfield, is surrounded by established Australian bushland and includes world-class outdoor fitness equipment and a custom-built 9.2m playground.
To celebrate the new opening, Brentwood Forest will host a free event on Saturday 24 March with a morning dedicated to local furry friends from 9am to 11am, with local trainers from The Links Pet Centre demonstrating the latest in dog obedience training.
AVID Property Group General Manager Queensland Bruce Harper said a good park should offer more than just beautiful spaces for the community; they are a place to suit all family members – including our beloved pets.
“I think we all know how important our family pets are and we have thought about the joy they bring to a community and families by including a park that provides a safe off-leash area with a soon-to-come linear pathway,” Mr Harper said.
“It is important to promote active lifestyles and, given we can all easily get lost in screen time rather than spending quality time outdoors or with our family pets, we wanted to include a multi-faceted community park that offered something for everyone.”
The Tucker Family Park adds to the existing parks and open spaces at Brentwood Forrest, comprising of the six ‘green jewels’ of the community, soon linked by the $1m linear pathway through almost 1km of scenic bushland, currently under construction.
