Bellbird Park State Secondary College P&C celebrate 2017
Students, parents and staff of Bellbird Park State Secondary College, Brentwood Forest’s local school, celebrated the end to a successful first year last year with a fun night at Brentwood Forest’s Christmas Movie in the Park. We were excited to welcome the school’s P&C to man the sausage sizzle, popcorn machine and fairy floss stand and raise money to support the students of our local school.
We chatted with BPSSC P&C Secretary Nicky about the P&C’s first year, and what they’re looking forward to in 2018.
“The Movie in the Park was a wonderful night – we have had lots of positive feedback. It was a successful night for the P&C both with funds raised and enjoyment of the evening. It was also nice to be able to get our school out into the community,” she said.
“We are using the money raised to purchase portable shade structures for our students to use when participating in outdoor activities and sports.
“We even have a P&C member who lives in Brentwood Forest. It is nice to see a sense of community being encouraged.
“My biggest highlight for 2017, as a member of the P&C, was having the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful group of people that have been working towards the common goals of getting our school name into the community and raising funds for much needed equipment.”
