Christmas cheer and community spirit at Brentwood Forest’s Movie in the Park!

Brentwood Forest families and the Greater Springfield community came together for a night of festive fun at our first Movie in the Park.

Moviegoers were treated to a free outdoor screening of Will Ferrell’s family favourite – Elf – and we were delighted to welcome students and parents from Bellbird Park State Secondary College (BPSSC), who greeted guests with Christmas Carols and manned the ‘Candy Bar’.

The community gathered in front of a massive 6m outdoor screen in Brentwood Forest’s own Rotary Park to celebrate another wonderful year at Brentwood Forest. Residents really got into the spirit, giving generously to the BPSSC who supplied hungry kids and parents with popcorn, fairy floss and a sausage sizzle.

The choir from BPSSC got everyone into the mood with renditions of our favourites carols. It’s great to see the amazing achievements of the students at our local school after just one year of operation.

What was really on show was the wonderful community spirit of Brentwood Forest. AVID is proud of the community that we’re helping to build, and we look forward to sharing more great experiences, like our Christmas Movie in the Park, with residents and visitors in the New Year and beyond.
