Brentwood Forest receives 6 Leaf EnviroDevelopment certification
At Brentwood Forest, we strive to deliver a sustainable, responsible and liveable community, and the development has recently been awarded a 6 Leaf EnviroDevelopment certification from the Urban Development Institute of Australia.
This tremendous achievement means the community has been recognised for outstanding design and planning across the elements of ecosystems, waste, energy, materials, water and community.
With over 1,200 people now settled and living in Brentwood Forest, it really is a wonderful time to be recognised for the environmentally responsive design of the community, preserving and incorporating its beautiful natural setting for the benefit of both the local environment and Brentwood Forest residents.
Current and future residents benefit from 34 hectares of open space where trees, local flora and fauna have been preserved to enhance the area’s natural beauty. The drainage system has been carefully planned so that storm water is purified before being released into Woogaroo Creek and plans are in place to remove weeds and rehabilitate existing gullies and waterways.
As the region expands, natural settings like Brentwood Forest will be harder to come by, which is why it is so important to AVID to preserve and share the local environment with residents and visitors alike, while building a sustainable community for generations to come.
